Dr. Cheryl Hausle, DVM

Veterinarian Fear Free Certified

Dr. Cheryl Hausle was born and raised in California and is a proud alumna of Chico State, where she studied animal science and played on the women’s lacrosse team. She went on to earn her veterinary degree from Ross University, located on the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Kitts, and completed her clinical year at Auburn University in Alabama—War Eagle!
After graduating in 2017, Dr. Hausle moved to Washington State to join Chuckanut Valley Veterinary Clinic in Skagit County.

In 2022, she became part of the team at Nooksack Animal Hospital, where she continues to grow her skills and deepen her areas of special interest.
Dr. Hausle is a self-proclaimed “derm nerd” with a strong interest in dermatology. She is also passionate about senior pet care and pain management, particularly arthritis treatment—an area close to her heart after caring for her beloved senior Springer Spaniel rescue, Hurley, who lived with end-stage elbow arthritis. Through her own pets (Howie and Oualie), she has developed a special interest in behavior, and she is equally dedicated to dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine.
A Fear Free Certified veterinarian, Dr. Hausle is committed to minimizing stress and anxiety for her patients. She deeply values the human-animal bond and strives to provide compassionate, comprehensive care—addressing not only pets’ physical health but also their emotional well-being.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hausle enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking and backpacking, practicing yoga, and spending time with her animals. She shares her home with two dogs—Oualie, adopted from the island of Nevis during vet school, and Howard (“Howie”)—as well as her tripod kitty, Peggy.

Dr. Karen Kelley

Veterinarian

Dr. Kelley was raised in Whatcom County and graduated from WSU College of Veterinary Medicine. A Nooksack Animal Hospital founder and prior mixed animal practitioner, Karen now enjoys working 3 days a week on cats and dogs.

Karen spends her free time hiking and horseback riding with her family in the foothills of Sumas.

Dr. Greg Ingman

Veterinarian

Dr Greg Ingman grew up in Gigg Harbor and attended WSU School of Veterinary Medicine.

After graduation, he and his wife Barb moved to Skagit Valley and built Chuckanut Valley Vet Clinic.

He started his career in Veterinary medicine as a large animal practitioner and has a lifelong love of all creatures great and small.

In April 2022 Greg and Barb purchased the Nooksack Animal Hospital and have since increased the services offered and built on a large modern work space.

In his spare time, Greg loves to spend time with his family, take care of his menagerie of animals, and attend WSU football games – Go Cougs!

Dr. Aaron Lothrop

Veterinarian

Aaron is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is a 2016 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, he practiced in Vermont, on the Olympic Peninsula, and finally landed in the Bellingham area. He loves the trifecta of ocean, rivers, and mountains. Professionally, he enjoys soft tissue surgery, preventative medicine, ophthalmology, and digging deep into odd cases. His goal is to provide clear and transparent communication regarding individualized treatment plan options for you and your pet, all with a sense of compassion and gentleness. When not at work, you can usually find him fishing or on a bike. The squad consists of three dogs (Belle, Walter, and Clementine) and Mac the cat.
