Dr. Cheryl Hausle was born and raised in California and is a proud alumna of Chico State, where she studied animal science and played on the women’s lacrosse team. She went on to earn her veterinary degree from Ross University, located on the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Kitts, and completed her clinical year at Auburn University in Alabama—War Eagle!
After graduating in 2017, Dr. Hausle moved to Washington State to join Chuckanut Valley Veterinary Clinic in Skagit County.
In 2022, she became part of the team at Nooksack Animal Hospital, where she continues to grow her skills and deepen her areas of special interest.
Dr. Hausle is a self-proclaimed “derm nerd” with a strong interest in dermatology. She is also passionate about senior pet care and pain management, particularly arthritis treatment—an area close to her heart after caring for her beloved senior Springer Spaniel rescue, Hurley, who lived with end-stage elbow arthritis. Through her own pets (Howie and Oualie), she has developed a special interest in behavior, and she is equally dedicated to dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine.
A Fear Free Certified veterinarian, Dr. Hausle is committed to minimizing stress and anxiety for her patients. She deeply values the human-animal bond and strives to provide compassionate, comprehensive care—addressing not only pets’ physical health but also their emotional well-being.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hausle enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking and backpacking, practicing yoga, and spending time with her animals. She shares her home with two dogs—Oualie, adopted from the island of Nevis during vet school, and Howard (“Howie”)—as well as her tripod kitty, Peggy.
